Fiat 500e customers to get a free rental car for maximum 12 days each year

The Italian marque Fiat has announced an interesting benefit for those who are willing to purchase the 500e which as most of you know will be available exclusively in the United States. Fiat collaborated with Enterprise Holdings for the “ePass” program which allows 500e owners to rent a conventional-powered car for free each year for up to 12 days. However, these people will still have to pay the usual charges applied when renting a car. When a client purchases a Fiat 500e, he will also receive a business account as well as points for renting. At the first two anniversaries since the car was bought, Fiat will deposit more points.

As a reminder, the Fiat 500e features a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor capable of developing 111 bhp (83 kW) and 147 lb-ft (200 Nm). It can run for 87 miles (140 km) before the battery is depleted and can hit a top speed of 85 mph (137 km/h). EPA says it can return 122 MPGe in the city, 108 MPGe on the highway and 116 MPGe in the combined cycle.

Fiat will reveal pricing on April 13 and upon launch the 500e will be sold exclusively at the firm’s 25-dealership network in California.
