Ford Fiesta Black and Red Editions launched with 1.0-liter 140 PS turbo engine

Ford is proud to introduce Fiesta Black and Red Editions which both come with the firm’s well-known three-cylinder, 1.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engine. However, unlike the previous 100 PS and 125 PS iterations of the engine, these cars have 140 PS which grants a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in only 9 seconds en route to a maximum speed of 125 mph (201 km/h). The supermini still manages to remain quite frugal as it has a fuel consumption of only 4.5 liters / 100 km (52.3 mpg US or 62.8 mpg UK) with 104 g/km of CO2 emissions.

Aside from getting more powerful, these special Fiestas also have different gear ratios for the five-speed manual transmission while the suspension has received a sportier setup. Moreover, Ford’s engineers have also updated the vehicle’s electronic power assisted steering system. Customers can get the car in either Panther Black or Race Red body paint with contrasting red or black roof, respectively.

It sits on 16-inch Panther Black alloys but those who are willing to spend more can select larger 17-inch rims. Other goodies include a roof-mounted spoiler, bespoke side skirts and different front upper and lower grille surrounds. There’s also a leather-covered steering wheel and gear knob, red contrasting stitching and glossy black door handles.
