Ford Fiesta ST arriving in UK this March from 16,995 pounds

Ford’s UK division has announced at the beginning of this week that the 2013 Fiesta ST is scheduled to go on sale in the United Kingdom starting with this March for a base price of 16,995 pounds when opting for the entry-level variant. The standard ST variant rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and comes with goodies such as Ford DAB Radio, Recaro sport seats covered in cloth, as well as ST-style front fog lights.
The higher-spec ST-2 variant will set you back at least 17,995 pounds and adds LED daytime running lights (DLRs), a better Sony DAB Radio, keyless entry, half-leather Recaro seats and tinted glass.
It is very important to mention that the Blue Oval has decided to sell the Fiesta ST in Europe only as a three-door model, whereas in North America it’s available in a five-door hatchback configuration. Under the hood it boasts a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine which churns an impressive 180 hp. It has a peak torque of 214 lb-ft when overboost is activated.
This Ford-made EcoBoost engine comes connected exclusively to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Ford said they don’t plan on offering an automatic transmission for the Fiesta ST.
