American tuner Hennessey has taken its modified 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to a closed section of the Texas State Highway 99 where it managed to reach a top speed of 200.6 mph (322.8 km/h). The vehicle was equipped with the tuner’s HPE600 package that had a custom camshaft, long-tube headers, ported factory cylinder heads, high-flow catalysts and most importantly, a Nitrous Express nitrous oxide system. These upgrades bumped output of the 6.2-liter V8 engine from the stock 460 bhp to no less than 700 bhp available at 6,500 rpm, enough to increase top speed from the series 180 mph to the magic 200 mph mark.
