Rumor has it that Jaguar is planning an extreme version of the F-Type Coupe. The regular model will be out later this year or in early 2014 while the R-S variant is scheduled for a 2016 release as a range-topping model. According to one Jaguar representative, the more potent variant will offer as much as 700 bhp (522 kW) and should be able to hit a top speed of more than 200 mph. The same Jaguar official has purportedly described the car as looking “fantastic” with the French Racing Blue paint scheme which you probably have seen on other radical Jaguar models launched by the British marque in the recent period, such as the XKR-S.
Taking into account the impressive 700 bhp output, we are expecting Jaguar to fit the F-Type R-S Coupe with the powertrain from the C-X75 which was cancelled. In other words, chances are it will feature a turbocharged and supercharger 1.6-liter gasoline mill joined by two electric motors.
