One of the most iconic cars in the entire automotive industry is without any doubt the McLaren F1. Jay Leno is the proud owner of the supercar and in his most recent webisode on YouTube part of Jay Leno’s Garage he decided to show his viewers the BMW V12 residing inside the precious vehicle. The engine produces an impressive 627 bhp (467 kW) which might not sound like a lot today, but for the early 1990s it was an unmatched number.
The reason why Leno’s mechanics had to take the engine out is because there were some problems with the Vanos unit which was leaking so it needed a replacement.
