What we have here is probably the most interesting concept to wear the Kia badge as the GT4 Stinger is truly a remarkable design exercise. It’s more than that since we are dealing with a rear-wheel drive lightweight 2+2 sports coupe with an appealing styling language and the corporate tiger nose. It also comes with unique vertical headlights and has received a striking Ignition Yellow paint hue. The concept benefits from an independent double wishbone suspension and has received a specially developed chassis. It sits on 20-inch rims shod in 235/35 ZR20 Pirelli P Zero tires and has a curb weight of 1,303 kg (2,874 lbs).
Power comes from a T-GDI direct-injected turbocharged gasoline 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine outputting an impressive 315 bhp which is being transferred to the rear axle with help from a close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox.
The interior cabin shows very few buttons and knobs as Kia preferred a more simplistic approach, with race-like bucket seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and billet-aluminum door handles featuring pull straps with red stitching. There’s also a red LED illuminated instrument panel and a rubber floor mat.
