LaFerrari showcased at 2013 Auto Shanghai
Ferrari has decided to bring its latest supercar offering to this year’s Auto Shanghai. We are talking of course about the LaFerrari which as you might recall was publicly unveiled for the first time last month during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Ferrari announced they will build 499 units and 50 of them are destined for the Chinese market. For the moment they have 25 dealerships in China, but this number will grow by five in 2014 and by another five in 2015, totaling the number of Ferrari dealerships in China to 35.
The 2013 LaFerrari is motivated by a massive 6262cc V12 engine rated at 800 HP (588 kW) and a peak torque of 516 lb-ft (700 Nm). It works alongside with an electric motor that is capable of generating an additional 163 HP (120 kW) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque, which results in an outstanding combined output of 963 HP (708 kW).
Thanks to this setup, the 2013 LaFerrari will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 3 seconds, on its way to a top speed in excess of 217 mph (350 km/h).
