Mansory tunes the Mercedes-Benz G63 and G65 AMG

Mansory has developed what they call the Gronos upgrade kit for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz G63 and G65 AMG. Both of them will be showcased starting tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show. The 5.5-liter V8 bi-turbo engine inside the G63 has been modified in order to output 840 HP (618 kW), considerably more than the standard 544 HP (400 kW). In addition, the engine’s peak torque has also increased to 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft), up from the series 760 Nm (560 lb-ft). The tuner has announced they are working on a power boost for the 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 inside the G65 AMG.

Aside from the additional horsepower, the G63/G65 AMG feature a custom exhaust system, 23-inch alloy wheels with a ten-spoke design wrapped around in Vredestein Ultrac Vorti tires measuring 305/30/23. Other goodies include a bunch of carbon fiber body parts such as the roof, mirror housings, along with a bespoke front spoiler sporting LED daytime running lights. There’s also a carbon fiber wheel cover, a new rear spoiler and attractive Magic Yellow paintwork.

Inside the cabin of these modified off-roaders there is a carbon fiber theme with several colored parts. Mansory is also offering wood trims and other materials, including leather upholstery featuring a yellow stitching.
