Maserati launches updated GranTurismo MC Stradale with four seats

The Italian automaker Maserati has prepared a revised version of the GranTurismo MC Stradale which will be revealed to the public next week at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The biggest change compared to the outgoing version is on the inside where it now has four seats, unlike the current model which has a two-seater layout. Another big change is under the hood where it takes the engine from the firm’s GranTurismo Sport mode. This would have to be a 4.7-liter V8 mill churning 460 HP (338 kW) and a maximum torque of 520 Nm (338 lb-ft). It’s linked to a 6-speed robotized manual transmission helping the car reach a top speed of 302 km/h (188 mph).

The stopping power is provided by Brembo with their carbon ceramic disc brakes. The 2013 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale has been fitted with a hood made from carbon fiber which has a redesigned central air intake. The Italian coupe also has restyled 20-inch alloys and a dual exhaust setup at the back of the car.

Aside from the two additional seats, the interior cabin sports new materials and a different finish to keep the car fresh. Maserati announced in the official press release that the car will be made at the firm’s plant situated in Viale Ciro Menotti which is in Modena, Italy.
