McLaren reveals the P1 GTR’s interior cabin
McLaren has published images with the interior cabin of the P1 GTR scheduled to be launched next year. This is a stripped out interior which comes with a redesigned steering wheel that is derived from the McLaren MP4-23 which won the Formula 1 title back in 2008. As you would expect, this steering wheel is packed with lots of buttons & switches that allow the driver to access a wide variety of systems without having to remove his hands off the steering wheel.
The McLaren P1 GTR will be a track-only vehicle equipped with a HANS-approved carbon fiber seat shell, DTM-style seats as well as a six-point harness while the driver’s seat is going to be specifically configured for the owner and will be installed directly on the chassis to save weight.
McLaren has already announced the P1 GTR will be sold exclusively to owners of the road-going P1 and will enter production once assembly of the regular model will end.
