German tuner B&B Automobiltechnik has created an upgrade package for the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG. The first stage kit is available for €1,298 and brings a remapped ECU which boosts the output of the four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to 400 HP (294 kW) and a maximum torque of 376 lb-ft (510 Nm). Upgrade to the stage two kit and you also get a new downpipe, custom air intake and a further tweaked ECU which all combined enable the engine to develop 425 HP (312 kW) and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm).
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG with B&B’s stage three kit delivers a massive 450 HP (331 kW) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm). It costs €6,950 and encompasses all the previous upgrades and adds a custom turbocharger. In this configuration, the car will need only 3.6 seconds from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) before topping out at 184 mph (296 km/h).
Other optional goodies include 20-inch alloy wheels, a high-performance braking system, a bespoke high-efficiency oil cooling system as well as sport springs which lower the ride height by 30mm at the front and 25mm at the rear.
