Mercedes-Benz CLA leaked
Scheduled to make its public debut in Detroit later on this month, the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA has leaked over the Internet. We bring you five photos of the entry-level sedan in M-B lineup which is based on the same platform used for the A- and B-Class models.
On the outside we notice that its design will be heavily influenced by the Concept Style Coupe which we saw last April during the Beijing Motor Show. Inside the cabin it will borrow most of its design from the two previous mentioned models.
It will be positioned below the C-Class and as a consequence it will be cheaper than the previous base sedan. Despite its position, the CLA will be 47mm longer, 47mm lower and 121mm wider in comparison to the current generation of the C-Class sedan which is set to get a replacement in 2014. The C-Class will be moved more upmarket and will also grow in size to differentiate it from the upcoming CLA which some refer to as the baby CLS.
Based on these official measurements, the 2013 CLA is 345mm longer than the A-Class and at the same time 35mm lower. It will be sold as standard with a FWD layout but for more money clients will be able to opt for a new type of 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
