Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 upgraded by Mansory

The aftermarket specialists at Mansory have taken another stab at the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. This is their second take on the six-wheeled G-Class and this time they went for a carbon fiber body kit which can either be left unpainted or painted in the same color as the rest of the body. We notice a new front skirt incorporating extra LED daytime running lights and there’s also a redesigned overlaying mask while the cladding for the headlight clusters has been manufactured from carbon. Mansory has added new built-in indicators, roof-mounted extra lights from HELLA, as well as a carbon fiber hood featuring air inlets to provide better cooling for the engine.

This particular Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 also has custom side trim strips, mirror caps, rear skirt and wheel arches made from carbon fiber while underneath that lightweight hood is an uprated version of the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine which unleashes no less than 840 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. For comparison sake, the standard version of the engine is good enough for 544 PS and 758 Nm.

Mercedes will soon discontinue the six-wheeled G-Class after making just over 100 units. The model will be effectively replaced by the G500 4×4² for the 2016 model year.
