Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG to be sold in United States
The Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG is going to be commercialized in United States starting this November. It will be available as a 2016 model year with a starting price of $217,900, without taking into consideration the additional destination and delivery fee which increases the price tag by a further $925. Compared to the 2015 G63 AMG, the 2016 G65 AMG is going to be a whopping $80,750 more expensive. Mercedes-Benz says they will provide more detailed specifications and information about the standard and optional equipment closer to the vehicle’s launch stateside.
We do know the 2016 Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG is going to be powered by a V12 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine delivering 621 bhp (463 kW) and 999 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque. It will be enough to grant the off-roader with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in only 5.3 seconds. It comes equipped with an electronic traction system (4ETS) with a transfer case and three differential locks.
