Mercedes-Benz has provided a preview of a range-topping GLA version called 45 AMG with a concept at this month’s Los Angeles Auto Show. The vehicle has received a beefier body kit with redesigned front and rear bumpers, along with a prominent rear wing. The high-performance compact crossover packs a rear diffuser, canards and a menacing quad exhaust arrangement. Other than that, we also notice the 21-inch forged alloys, high-performance brakes and body side graphics. As you would expect, power is provided by the same engine inside the CLA 45 AMG and A 45 AMG.
We are referring to a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine rated at 360 HP and a peak torque of 450 Nm. The mill is mated to a 7-sped AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT gearbox sending output to all four wheels through a 4MATIC system. As a result of this hardware arrangement, the car will sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 5 seconds.
