Mercedes-Benz has announced plans to introduce a long wheelbase variant of the Citan in Germany. The vehicle was conceived to transport both people and cargo and can accommodate up to seven people. It has an overall length of 4705mm and is capable of carrying no less than 300-400 liters (10.6-14.1 cubic feet) of cargo with the seats up but the capacity can be expanded to no less than 3,500 liters (123.6 cubic feet) if you fold down the second row of seats and also if you remove the third row.
Motivation of the Mercedes-Benz Citan LWB is provided by a Dacia-made 4-cylinder 1.5-liter diesel engine delivering 90 PS and 200 Nm. The same engine is also offered in a higher state of tune with 110 PS and 240 Nm.
Already available at home in Germany, the model carries a starting price of 19,400 euros, without taking into consideration VAT.
