Mercedes-Benz reveals facelifted 2015 CLS range

German automaker Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the facelifted 2015 CLS range. The only visual changes are the larger air ducts in the front bumper, a diamond pattern front grille and a darker tint for the taillights. Optionally available are Multibeam LED headlights featuring 24 individually-controlled LEDs that adjust 100 times each second thanks to four control units and a camera. These can adapt the light beam so that it won’t disturb other cars in traffic, while upcoming bends illuminated up ahead to offer proper visibility. The navigation system will notify the system whenever there’s a roundabout to accordingly adjust the light beam.

On the gasoline side, a twin-turbo V6 3.0-liter in the CLS 400 is replacing the CLS 350 CGI and generates 333 PS and 480 Nm. Clients can also get the CLS 500 model with 408 PS and 600 Nm, whereas the CLS 63 AMG versions have a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 outputting 557 PS and 720 Nm in the standard model and 585 PS and 800 Nm in the CLS 63 AMG S-Model. Select engines can now be matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
