Aside from introducing the Mercedes-Benz Metris, the Daimler-owned marque also announced the next generation of the Sprinter is going to be assembled at a newly established factory located in Charleston, South Carolina. This could mean a smaller price tag taking into account production will take place locally and will allow the automaker to avoid paying import duties and also they won’t have to disassemble the Sprinters made in Germany to sell them in United States.
