Mercedes-Benz SL 400 launched

Premium German marque Mercedes-Benz has introduced today a replacement for the SL 350 which will be sold with the “SL 400” moniker. At its heart is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 borrowed from the facelifted E400 which pumps out 333 PS between 5,250 and 6,000 rpm and 480 Nm peak torque available between 1,600 and 4,000 rpm. This makes the SL 400 a considerable 27 PS and 110 Nm more powerful than its predecessor and needs only 5.2 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) on its way to top speed limited at 155 mph (250 km/h).
