We are just a few days away from the official unveiling of the production-ready Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG and these attached photos show a potential look of the car which will be exhibited in Detroit at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. Mercedes-Benz previewed this model in November 2013 at the Los Angeles Auto Show with a near-production concept so it’s pretty easy to figure out how the production model will look like when it will be shown in a couple of weeks.
Its heart and soul is going to be a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine outputting 360 HP and a peak torque of 331 lb-ft. This is the same engine which powers the A45 AMG and the CLA 45 AMG and will be mated to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT transmission sending output to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The hot crossover should hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than five seconds before topping out at 155 mph (250 km/h).
