Mercedes reveals 2016 E-Class interior

Mercedes has revealed a first batch of images with the 2016 E-Class, but these only show the interior cabin. It’s easy to notice the S-Class influences as it basically carries over the dual digital screen layout, four central air vents and a pair of utterly comfortable front seats. As you would expect, it has a plethora of high-end materials, including leather on the dashboard, metallic accents, contrast stitching, along with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and a large center armrest that can be opened from both sides. It also boasts alloy pedals and a premium Burmeister sound system to make it even more premium and perhaps the classiest model in this segment.

Technical details concerning the 2016 E-Class are not available at this point, but chances are Mercedes will offer the model with an NFC system enabling the driver to use his smartphone as a key. Also expect to see a remote parking system and a plethora of tech goodies to make this the most advanced mid-size sedan from Daimler ever made.
Mercedes has already confirmed the 2016 E-Class Sedan (W213) will receive its world premiere in January in Detroit during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The wagon (T-Modell) will join the range later the same year.
