MINI presents 2016 Clubman

MINI has introduced the brand new 2016 Clubman which from now on will be the company’s largest model and will have barn-style rear doors. Compared to its predecessor, the second generation is 27 cm longer and 9 cm wider while the wheelbase has been stretched by 10cm. This enables a more spacious interior cabin which can hold up to 1,250 liters of cargo once you fold down the rear seats while with the seats in position it can store 360 liters. Power comes from a familiar three-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 136 PS and 220 Nm (230 Nm with overboost) which allows the six-door MINI to accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds and top out at 127 mph (205 km/h).

There’s also a beefier MINI Clubman S which rewards buyers with a larger four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo producing 192 PS and 280 Nm (300 Nm with overboost). In this case, the biggest MINI needs 7.1 seconds for the 0-100 km/h task and can reach 141 mph (228 km/h).

A more economical choice would be the Clubman D which uses a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter that generates 150 PS and 330 Nm. In this case, the vehicle manages to hit 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and reach  a maximum speed of 131 mph (212  km/h).
