Mitsubishi’s UK division has prepared a special edition of the Lancer Evolution called X FQ-440 MR which celebrates the firm’s 40th anniversary in United Kingdom. Only 40 cars will be built and all of them are going to feature a Frost White exterior paint scheme, 18-inch BBS forged alloy wheels and bi-xenon headlights. Inside the cabin there will be a leather-covered sports steering wheel, Recaro leather-wrapped seats, a Rockford Fosgate sound system and GPS navigation. It will also pack a data recorder, a lowered suspension, Eibach coil springs and an Alcon braking system.
Its heart and soul is a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter gasoline engine featuring an HKS turbocharger, a remapped ECU and high-flow fuel injectors. Moreover, the Lancer Evolution X FQ-440 MR comes with a sports exhaust system, an intercooler piping kit and a Janspeed intake which all together have allowed the engine to develop 440 bhp and 558 Nm of torque. All that power is put to the ground with help from a dual-clutch 6-speed Sports Shift Transmission.
Pricing for the limited-run Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-440 MR kicks off at 50,000 pounds.
