Mitsuoka Orochi to be axed
Mitsuoka has announced that the Orochi will be phased out this September, thus putting an end to what many people consider to be the ugliest car in the world. The car will go out with a bang as the automaker has prepared five Final Editions which will have either a Fuyoru-o or Gold Pearl exterior together with a rear wing, front lip spoiler and unique 19-inch rims. On the inside it will be equipped with an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, metallic trim as well as two-tone leather & Alcantara seats.
Under the hood it will feature a Toyota-sourced V6 3.3-liter engine outputting 233 PS and 328 Nm sent to the rear axle with help from a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The vehicle is already on sale at home in Japan where it carries a starting price of ¥12,700,000.
