Last week Nissan dropped an official teaser of the second-gen Qashqai and now they have returned with an additional teaser depicting the company’s brand new crossover. This is a significantly more revealing teaser as it provides a better view of the car’s front fascia which seems to have evolved a great deal compared to the outgoing generation. Nissan is saying the 2014 Qashqai not only was “reinvented from the ground up” but at the same time it has the necessary attributes to “redefine the crossover sector and set new standards.”
Nissan’s new crossover will be offered only as a five-seater and should get a newly developed 1.2-liter DiG-T turbocharged gasoline engine producing 113 bhp. Diesel fans will have the possibility of selecting a 1.5-liter dCi with 108 bhp or a 1.6-liter dCi rated at 128 bhp. We expect the engine lineup to include more than just these three motors.
