Opel announces Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX
Opel has taken the wraps of the Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX which they describe as being a “true eco-champion.” The frugal model is powered by a diesel 1.3-liter CDTI ecoFLEX engine developing 95 HP (70 kW) and a peak torque of 140 lb-ft (190 Nm). The motor is coupled to an Easytronic 3.0 gearbox and allows the Corsa to have a fuel consumption of only 3.1 liters / 100 km (75.8 mpg US or 91.1 mpg UK) with corresponding CO2 emissions of 82 g/km. According to the German marque, this model is the most economical diesel on sale today and also the firm’s most frugal model on the market.
The Opel Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX has received low-rolling resistance tires, regenerative braking system and start/stop technology. Those who are interested in this model will have to wait until March when the economical Corsa is set to go on sale at home in Germany, with pricing to be disclosed closer to the models introduction.
