The Opel Corsa OPC is now available on order and carries a starting price in Germany of €24,395, including VAT. Deliveries will start in a short while to those who want a pocket rocket powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 207 PS (152 kW) and a maximum torque of 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) when overboost is activated. All that power is channeled to the front axle via a 6-speed manual transmission that allows the vehicle hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.8 seconds before topping out at 143 mph (230 km/h).
Opel says the model has a fuel consumption of 7.5 liters / 100 km (31.3 mpg US or 37.6 mpg UK) with corresponding CO2 emissions of 174 g/km. It comes equipped with bi-xenon headlights combined with LED daytime running lights while at the back it has a spoiler mounted on the tailgate. It also benefits from extended side skirts and rides on 17-inch alloys.
On the inside, the Opel Corsa OPC has stainless steel pedals, Recaro performance seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. For an extra €300, the owner can order an IntelliLink infotainment system and there’s also an optional OPC Performance Package adding 18-inch rims, locking differential and Brembo brakes.
