Porsche introduces 2014 Panamera Diesel with 300 bhp

You might remember that about five months ago Porsche revealed the facelifted Panamera and promised a more powerful diesel version. This is it, the Panamera Diesel equipped with a V6 3.0-liter mill delivering 50 bhp (37 kW) more than it did in the previous engine configuration, lifting output to 300 bhp (224 kW) reached at 4,000 rpm. Porsche mentions peak torque has increased by 74 lb-ft (100 Nm) to 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) available between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. As a consequence, the four-door saloon will do 0-100 km/h in six seconds, which is 0.8 seconds less than before. Maximum speed has been bumped from 244 km/h to 259 km/h.
