Porsche introduces 2016 Macan with full LED headlights
Porsche has taken the wraps off the 2016 Macan which comes with an array of tweaks. First up, the optional PDLS Plus – Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus system has been revised and it now contains full LED headlights with a camera-based dynamic main beam function. In addition, the car’s Porsche Communication Management (PCM) provides the navigation data to enable the intersection light activate an additional lamp which will enable superior illumination of the area into which the crossover is turning.
Since we mentioned the PCM, the 2016 model year brings a revision of the Macan’s infotainment system which now sports a 7-inch color touchscreen display and support for Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi hotspot, SD, USB, Bluetooth and multi-touch gestures.
For the Macan Turbo, there’s an optional exterior package which has black exhaust tips, glossy black air inlets and side blades, 21-inch bi-color alloys from the 911 Turbo, Sport Design mirror caps, trim strips on the side windows and on the rear underbody panel while the smoked taillights round off the changes.
Also for the Macan Turbo, Porsche is offering an optional interior package that adds illuminated door sill plates, extended Alcantara trim, “Turbo” lettering on the headrests and Garnet Red / Rhodium Silver decorative stitching on the instrument panel, seats and door panel.
The 2016 Macan can now be ordered in Germany at these prices: Macan S (€61,143), Macan S Diesel (€60,548), Macan GTS (€73,400) and Macan Turbo (€83,753).
