Porsche introduces 911 50th Anniversary Edition

Porsche has announced a 50th anniversary edition of the 911 which will be available in just 1,693 units as a reference to the year 1963 when the first generation was introduced. The car has received a different set of 20-inch alloy wheels and the wide body kit which normally is available on the Carrera 4 versions. This special model is also distinguished by the chrome trim strips on the engine compartment grille, between the taillights and also on the front air inlets. Customers will be able to order the car with one of the two exclusive colors: darker graphite grey and lighter geyser grey metallic.

With an engine output of 400 HP (294 kW), the Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition will do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 4.5 seconds with the standard gearbox or in 4.3s when equipped with the optional PDK. Top speed for the regular model is of 300 km/h, while the PDK-equipped will hit 298 km/h.

It will be available in dealerships starting September 23 with pricing in Germany kicking off at 121,119 euros (with VAT).
