Posaidon take the Mercedes-AMG GT S to 700 PS

The aftermarket specialists from Posaidon have upgraded the Mercedes-AMG GT S. Most of the work was put into the engine department where the V8 4.0-liter twin turbocharged gasoline engine has received a bigger intercooler, sport exhaust system, remapped ECU and upgraded turbochargers. As a result of these tweaks, the motor is now capable of developing an impressive 700 PS (514 kW) as well as an electronically limited 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. After the power boost is implemented, the supercar can cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in as little as 3.2 seconds and will continue to accelerate until it hits a top speed of 217 mph (349 km/h).

According to Posaidon, they can deactivate the start/stop system on the Mercedes-AMG GT S and at an additional cost they offer a radar speed trap warning system integrated in the car’s standard COMAND Online navigation system.

As a final note, all of these upgrades can also be fitted on the standard Mercedes-AMG GT and you will have to contact the tuner to find out details regarding pricing for both packages. It should be mentioned torque is being capped in order to preserve the longevity of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed gearbox.
