A very interesting demonstration race was organized before this year’s Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix held at Melbourne. A Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG was pitted against a V8 Supercar and a Red Bull Formula 1 car from the 2007 season. The German high-performance sedan was driven by Mick Doohan, while behind the wheel of the V8 Supercar was Steven Richards. Driving the RB7 was none other than David Coulthard who was the first to finish the lap at Albert Park in 1m 41s. The V8 Supercar did it in 2m 4s whereas the C63 AMG was the slowest of the bunch with a time of 2m 27.9s.
