Renault has unveiled today at the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show (JIMS) the Duster Detour concept which will remain strictly as a show car as there aren’t any plans to put the car into production.
The first thing that we notice would have to be the striking pearl yellow and matte grey paint job which fits nicely with the black pillar masks and the tinted windows. Other than that, the concept boasts 18-inch alloy wheels shod in all-terrain tires. To make room for these beefier rims, Renault had to widen the wheel arches, thus providing the Duster with a more aggressive look.
The Detour concept shows a redesigned front grille boasting the firm’s diamond logo which has been chromed, while the headlamp clusters and the daytime running lights have a fresh hi-tech look. The sides of the cars show “Duster” graphics and there’s also a roof-mounted spoiler at the back. Other noticeable changes include the dual exhaust setup, LED taillights and a new diffuser.
