Renault launches Scenic and Grand Scenic facelifts

It was a busy Monday for Renault because not only did they announce the Scenic XMOD, but they also revealed the facelifts for the Scenic and Grand Scenic models, with all of them getting ready to get their public debut next month at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show before going on sale later this summer. The Scenic and Grand Scenic now feature the firm’s new front end which made its debut on the fourth generation of the Clio. As you can see from these images, the Renault badge is now bigger and is set against what looks to be a glossy black background, while the front grille has also been updated to match the new look.

Moving inside the cabin of both MPVs, Renault is offering them with the proprietary R-Link system which comes together with a joystick controller and a touchscreen display. The more premium versions can be fitted with the Bose audio system.

All three versions of the Scenic will be available with one of the three new Energy power units, including here the revised TCe 130 mill which Renault says it is 15% more fuel efficient than the engine it replaces.

More details will be available in early March.
