Seat Mii Ecofuel bound for Geneva

Spanish automaker Seat has announced its plans of bringing the Mii Ecofuel to this week’s Geneva Motor Show. This would have to be the firm’s lowest-emitting production vehicle car ever and is powered by a small 3-cylinder, 1.0-liter engine which has been modified in order to run on CNG – compressed natural gas. The power unit generates 68 HP (50 kW) and 66 lb-ft (90 Nm) of torque, allowing the city car to have a fuel consumption of 2.9 kg / 100 km with CO2 emissions standing at just 79 g/km. Thanks to the low price tag of CNG, the running costs of the Mii EcoFuel are about 50 percent less compared to those of a regular Mii running on gasoline.

It is important to mention that the car is capable of running on gasoline, just like the Volkswagen Up! eco. This is a great feature since there aren’t as many CNG stations as there are gas ones. Pricing in Germany begins from 12,050 euros and this will make it the cheapest car running on CNG there.
