Skoda Octavia GreenLine priced at 20,150 pounds

Czech automaker Skoda has announced the Octavia III GreenLine starts from 20,150 pounds in the UK. This is the most economical version of the Octavia ever released as it has a fuel consumption of just 3.2 liters / 100 km (88.3 mpg UK or 73.5 mpg US) and has CO2 emissions of just 85 g/km. The vehicle has a BiK rating of 13% for 2014 and VED Band A status which means its running costs are very low. It comes as standard with 16-inch Velorum alloys wrapped around in bespoke low-rolling resistance tires which are inflated at a higher pressure to lower friction with the road.

At its heart is a 1.6-liter TDI engine delivering 110 HP (81 kW) and fitted as standard with a stop/start system as well as a brake energy recuperation system which will transfer the restored energy to the battery to lower fuel consumption even further. The Skoda Octavia GreenLine looks virtually identical compared to the other versions, except for the “GreenLine” front/rear badging which can also be found on the gear lever.
