SRT Viper GTS Anodized Carbon special edition races into L.A.
SRT has unveiled the Viper GTS Anodized Carbon special edition at this year’s edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The limited-run model is programmed to enter production phase in January 2014 and will be made in a restricted series of just 50 cars. All cars are going to wear a bespoke metallic matte exterior paint scheme with orange brake calipers and carbon fiber brake ducts, as well as glossy black GTS badging. In addition, SRT has installed anodized carbon fuel filler, a carbon fiber rear fascia and five-spoke alloy wheels that have a special Black Vapor Chrome finish.
Motivation is handled by the familiar V10 8.4-liter engine capable of generating 640 bhp and a peak torque of 600 lb-ft mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. SRT says the car will do the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in the “low three-second range” and a maximum speed of 206 mph (331 km/h).
