SsangYong Rodius Turismo arrives in Europe at Geneva show

The new generation of the SsangYong Rodius has arrived on European territory where it will be known as the Rodius Turismo. Depending on the market, the vehicle wears other monikers such as Stavic, Korando Turismo and simply Rodius.

Looking significantly better than its predecessor, this is still far from being an attractive car but we still appreciate the work put into by the designers of bringing a more pleasing look for this people-carrier. It comes with a huge 3000mm wheelbase which allows the vehicle to carry up to seven adults and their luggage.

The passengers sit on one of the car’s three rows, with the possibility of individually removing the third row. Some changes can be made also to the second row as this can be folded individually and transformed into tables. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine pumping out 155 HP (114 kW) and a peak torque of 265 lb-ft (360 Nm). As standard it’s mated to a 6-speed manual but for more money clients can opt for a Mercedes-Benz 5-speed T-Tronic automatic gearbox.

On the inside it can feature air conditioning, heated windscreen, leather upholstery, electronically adjustable and heated front seats, eco cruise control, air quality system, along with safety features such as dual front/side airbags, brake assist system, ABS and ESP.
