Subaru BRZ tS STI goes official for Japanese market
The Subaru BRZ tS STI has been introduced in Japan with a series of mechanical tweaks. Characterized as being a complete STI car, the higher specification BRZ comes with 18-inch rims wrapped around in 225/40 ZR18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and benefits from an STI-tuned front suspension, updated rear damper, STI-designed V-shaped bar, along with a large-diameter drive shaft and a flexible front draw stiffener. It has also been fitted with Brembo brakes with ventilated discs, as well as with a bespoke Vehicle Dynamics Control and a custom filter for the Sound Creator. We also notice the revised front and rear bumpers, a shark fin antenna, black mirrors and a front fender garnish.
On the inside, the Subaru BRZ tS STI gets a new speedometer and a special gear knob along with a different push button ignition, side sill plates and a bespoke leather-covered steering wheel. Subaru Tecnica International has also installed Recaro front bucket seats, special door trims and a carbon theme for the instrument panel.
Subaru plans on making 300 units available with both the manual and automatic gearbox while clients will have to choose from one of the following hues: Sunrise Yellow, Crystal Black Silica, WR Blue Pearl and Crystal White Pearl.
