Subaru Legacy STI sedan and wagon limited edition launched in Japan
Subaru has launched an STI-tuned version of its Legacy model in Japan. Customers are able to get it in either a sedan or a wagon body style, and it comes with 18-inch alloys, a sports exhaust system and a different look for both front and rear spoilers.
The 2.5i EyeSight tS limited edition is offered with leather and Alcantara sports seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red contrasting stitching and a titanium gray trim.
Other details worth mentioning include the Nick Toro shifter, a push button ignition and an STI-badged instrument cluster.
Under the hood of the Subaru Legacy 2.5i tS STI limited edition is a 4-cylinder 2.5-liter boxer engine capable of producing 173 HP (127 kW) and a maximum torque of 173 Nm (235 lb-ft). This power unit is linked to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that sends the entire horsepower to all four wheels. To improve its handling, Subaru’s engineers have installed aluminum control arms, front tower brace, STI coil springs and Bilstein shocks.
They plan on making only 300 units of this special edition, with pricing starting from 3,360,000 yen.
