Suzuki Vitara S launched with 140 PS turbo engine
The Suzuki Vitara S has made its debut in UK where it comes with a newly developed four-cylinder, 1.4-liter turbocharged BOOSTERJET engine. This new version sits on top of the model’s range and offers 140 PS (103 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque sent to the ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system through either a standard manual transmission or an optional automatic gearbox. Thanks to this hardware arrangement, the crossover will do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 10.2 seconds which isn’t half bad for a vehicle in this segment.
Aside from packing more punch, the Suzuki Vitara S has 17-inch glossy black alloys, revised front grille, satin silver mirrors and tweaked headlights featuring red projector covers. In addition, the crossover has been fitted with a new rear upper spoiler, alloy pedals, red upholstery stitching and red accents on the air vents and instruments.
Customers will be able to buy the Suzuki Vitara S with a Cool White Pearl, Galactic Grey, Bright Red or a Cosmic Black exterior paint scheme. Suzuki UK is asking £20,899 for the manual version and £22,249 if you would rather have the automatic transmission. Deliveries should kick off at the beginning of 2016.
