VL Automotive Destino Red concept breaks cover at NAIAS

VL Automotive has presented the Destino Red concept this week at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The vehicle is based on the Fisker Karma and is an attractive two-door convertible featuring a folding hard top while the interior cabin has Katzkin leather upholstery combined with red contrast stitching. At the moment there aren’t any details about whether the concept will ever reach production phase but we hope it will since the concept looks very appealing and there’s certainly a customer base willing to pay to get this car.

If green-lighted for production, the vehicle will be offered with a V8 LT1 6.2-liter engine outputting 450 bhp as well as with a beefier LS9 V8 6.2-liter supercharged engine with 638 bhp. Plans to put the car into production were pushed back by five months due to the reorganization and restructuration process of Fisker Automotive, a company which will likely go bust eventually.
