Volkswagen Golf VI R Cabriolet gets a massive 5,600 pounds price cut

Volkswagen’s UK division has made an important announcement this week when they revealed the Golf VI R Cabriolet has received a massive 5,600 pounds price cut. They admitted the original pricing of the car was wrong as the model ended up being more expensive than a Porsche Boxster since it cost a whopping 38,770 pounds. As a result of the significant price reduction, the Volkswagen Golf VI R Cabriolet is now available at a starting price of 33,170 pounds. The six pending orders will cost the updated price tag so those who paid the cars in full will receive the price difference.

As a reminder, the car is motivated by a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine outputting 265 HP (195 kW) mated to a six-speed DSG which sends the hot cabriolet to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.4 seconds and onto an electronically-capped top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
