Volkswagen is introducing their GTI SuperSport Vision Gran Turismo virtual concept developed exclusively for the Gran Turismo 6 video game. It’s based on the Golf GTI and is in fact a successor to last year’s GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo only this time it takes the shape of a three-door hatchback with a very aggressive body making extensive use of carbon fiber. It has an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.5 kg / bhp and has received a massive roof spoiler, rear diffuser and a big splitter in the front bumper.
In terms of power, the Volkswagen GTI SuperSport Vision Gran Turismo has a VR6 TSI engine pushing out no less than 503 PS (370 kW) and 665 Nm (491 lb-ft) delivered to a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system via a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic gearbox. Thanks to this hardware arrangement, the virtual concept needs just 3.6 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and will keep on accelerating until it reaches a top speed of more than 186 mph (300 km/h).
