Volkswagen is offering a special Edition variant of the Amarok in UK which will be available in limited quantities of 300 cars. It’s actually based on the Trendline trim level and has color-coded bumpers and wheel arches. The German pick-up truck sits on bespoke 18-inch Durban alloy wheels and is further distinguished by the special edition decals, black side step, black styling bars across the load area and also by the rear privacy glass. It also has been configured with a five-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth support and satellite-navigation system. There’s also a protective coating for the load area, interior floor mats and front/rear parking sensors.
The only engine available is a 2.0-liter BiTDI mill rated at 180 HP (132 kW) and a maximum torque of 319 lb-ft (420 Nm). The Volkswagen Amarok Edition has a maximum towing capacity of 7,054 lbs (3,200 kg) and is available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Prices kick off from 22,495 pounds without VAT for the manual and from 24,225 pounds for the automatic.
