New images of the Volkswagen Amarok R-Style Concept are hitting the web, just before the vehicle will make its public debut at the 2013 Worthersee show in Austria.
There aren’t any plans right now for a production version but we should mention this concept is powered by a V6 3.0-liter diesel engine pumping out 272 HP (200 kW) and a maximum torque of 600 Nm (442 lb-ft).
The mill is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox which enables this special Amarok to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 7.9 seconds.
Other than the powerful engine hiding behind the hood, we notice the fenders are now 60mm wider so that they can provide enough room for bigger 22-inch alloy rims which are shod in 295/35 performance rubbers. Inside it has a carbon fiber-wrapped dashboard, 8-inch touchscreen display, race bucket seats and a subwoofer.
