Volkswagen to offer Golf SportWagen Alltrack in United States next year
Volkswagen has announced plans to sell the Golf SportWagen Alltrack in United States starting next year. Currently on display at the New York Auto Show, the rugged Golf wagon will be available as a 2017MY and is going to be commercialized as standard with a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. Compared to the regular Golf SportWagen, the Alltrack variant comes with plastic body cladding, 20mm increased suspension and aluminum protection plates along with bespoke alloy wheels and some minor interior cabin enhancements.
Volkswagen hasn’t said a word about which engines will power the Golf SportWagen Alltrack but we do know the Euro-spec version can be had with a 1.6 TDI developing 110 HP and 250 Nm, followed by a 2.0 TDI offered with 150 HP and 340 Nm as well as with 184 HP and 380 Nm. The European model can also be ordered with a 1.8 TSI pushing out 180 HP and 280 Nm.
