The Volkswagen T6 is finally here in production guise and it will be available on order in the following days. The very popular van adopts an evolutionary design which makes the model instantly recognizable while looking fresh compared to its predecessor. It benefits from bigger air intakes and more angular headlights flanking a slender grille while the side profile shows rounded wheel arches and several straight character lines. At the back it gets a redesigned tailgate with a built-in spoiler providing the Transporter 6 with a more attractive design.
More significant changes have been applied inside the cabin where the T6 gets better materials and a revised design with a new dashboard, metallic accents and a 6.33-inch touchscreen display part of the infotainment system which has proximity sensors granting the owner with a faster access as the system will automatically switch from display mode to input mode when detecting the user’s hands.
The Volkswagen T6 will be offered with a next-gen four-cylinder 2.0-liter TDI engine tailored to this model. There will be various outputs to choose from, starting out with 84 PS, followed by 102 PS, 150 PS and 204 PS. There’s also a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 150 PS and 204 PS.
