Volkswagen has unveiled the 2015 Sharan facelift which comes with a series of cosmetic and mechanic upgrades. On the outside, the people carrier has gained Hudson Bay Blue Metallic and Crimson Red Metallic paints along with Jakarat alloy wheels and LED headlights while the body look slightly sharper compared to the previous model. The interior cabin has gained a new generation of infotainment systems with support for Google Android Auto and Apple Car Play and customers will be able to opt for the 5-inch Composition Color, the larger 6.5-inch Composition Media and the upper-spec 6.5-inch Discovery Media with navigation.
As far as the engines are concerned, the 2015 Sharan facelift will be available with a 1.4 TSI engine developing 150 HP (110 kW) as well as with a 2.0 TSI rated at 220 HP while on the diesel side we find a 1.6 TDI with 115 HP (85 kW) and a 2.0 TDI offered with 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW). These engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or to an optional 6-speed DSG.
On the safety side, the 2015 Sharan facelift comes as standard with Automatic Post-Collision Braking System while for more money it can also get Blind Spot Monitor, Front Assist with integrated City Emergency Braking, third-gen Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control.
Order books will open in April while deliveries are scheduled to kick off in the summer.
